    Gamma Phi Beta International History
    The Gamma Phi Beta sorority was founded on November 11, 1874, at the Syracuse University in Syracuse, New York. The four founders were Helen M. Dodge, Francis E. Haven, E. Adeline Curtis, and Mary A. Bingham. Gamma Phi Beta has welcomed 153 active chapters into sisterhood and 292 alumnae chapters. The national philanthropy for the sorority is Campfire USA, which is an organization that allows underprivileged girls to attend summer camps to build self-esteem, leadership experience, and lasting friendships.

    To be a premiere womens organization with a winning spirit through:
    seeking cultural, demographic and economic diversity, the development of chapter, community and interfraternal leaders, providing programming which addresses issues relevant to women and society, the strengthening of resources, a focus on being member-driven, and management of the organization through volunteerism

    *Gamma Phi Beta was founded on November 11, 1874 --- this makes Gamma Phi Beta one of the 10 oldest women's organizations in the country!!

    *Gamma Phi Beta is one of three sororities founded at Syracuse University --- along with Alpha Gamma Delta and Alpha Phi.

    *Gamma Phi Beta is one of the seven founding members of the National Panhellenic Council.

    *Gamma Phi Beta is an international organization with almost 200,000 members and 128 chapters in both the United States and Canada.

    *The Gamma Phi Beta badge was designed by Tiffany & Co. jewelry and was voted most beautiful badge!

    *The first bride to be married in the White House was a Gamma Phi Beta --- President Woodrow Wilson's oldest daughter.

    Epsilon Kappa Chapter History
    Through academic, social, leadership, and philanthropic involvement, Gamma Phi offers you a lifetime of friendships, memories, affiliation, growth and opportunity. The Epsilon Kappa chapter was established at California State University Chico in 1988. The girls enjoy social exchanges with the campus fraternities and formals. The Epsilon Kappa chapter has raised money for Campfire USA. The Epsilon Kappa chapter also organizes a family weekend for all of its members and their families to reflect on the past year.
